2025 First Entry
Come out and cheer on the AISC Float!
Contact Nan if you can walk along as security, PR, or hand out lifesavers to kids along the route. Dress with your stars and shrimps finest.
This year’s theme recognizes the semi quincentennial of the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 1776. The parade will start promptly at 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 30, 2026. We are excited about how parade participants will embrace this year’s theme. Expect to see patriotism, community pride, and of course, SHRIMP, lots of shrimp. So, toss on your shrimp hat and your favorite festival gear, or even some stars and stripes to go beyond just watching the parade and truly become a part of it. For everyone’s safety, please keep the little ones close to your group at all times.
The parade will embark from Central Park on Ash Street, head west, then turn right onto South Second Street, winding its way north towards the heart of Downtown on Centre Street. Finally, the procession will turn east along Centre Street to Central Park. Find your perfect viewing spot along Centre Street for prime parade action. We recommend arriving early, as public parking is available on a first come, first served basis. This year’s parade, much like those of the past, will feature a vibrant lineup of bands, dancers, and floats.
